The Queens Slur - The Queens Kickshaw

7:00pm to 9:00pm

It's the Slow Food NYC monthly Happy Hour! It's fun, social, and informal. But it's also your opportunity to talk to the leadership of Slow Food NYC and let us know what you think. Got a great idea for an event? Looking for ways to get involved? Want to learn more about Slow Food? Just looking to have a relaxing drink with other "Slow" minded people? The Slur is your opportunity - free and open to everyone.

The Queens Kickshaw is a popular neighborhood spot in Astoria that opened just over two years ago offering up a streamlined menu of specialty coffee, fancy grilled cheese sandwiches, craft ales, and ciders. The menu has evolved and expanded since then but has retained a commitment to quality ingredients, a nod to the diverse flavors of the neighborhood, and support for New York based food and beverage producers. The tiny kitchen churns out dishes from miso mustard pickled vegetables to bibimbap to a grilled cheese with gouda, black bean hummus, guava jam, and pickled jalapeƱos. Equally as impressive is the constantly rotating selection of craft beers and locally produced kombucha on tap, an extensive array of ciders, and even mead.

Join us at the communal table in the front of the restaurant where The Queen Kickshaw will offer a drink special for our Slur.
