You are cordially invited to Slow Food NYC's 5th Annual (s)low down fundraiser event. The (s)low down this year will be quite a party in the backyard at Threes Brewing, a celebrated brewery bar and event space in Gowanus, Brooklyn featuring beer, wine, and small bites curated by The Meat Hook.
This year we will celebrate the 2016 Snailblazer honoree, Hot Bread Kitchen Founder Jessamyn Rodriguez. The "Snailblazer" award is a designation granted to those leaders in the farm-to-table movement committed to a local, sustainable, and fair food system. Party proceeds benefit Slow Food NYC's programs including Urban Harvest, Good Food education programs in 15 NYC schools and a summer educational farm in East New York, Brooklyn.
Party proceeds will be used for our Slow Food NYC Program, Urban Harvest. Urban Harvest supports educational initiatives that teach NYC children about the effects of good food on their health and well-being, the health of their communities, and the health of the planet. The program reaches over 1,500 children each in year in 15 schools and at our Ujima summer farm program in East New York.
